The Panel was founded in late 1908, so has now been in operation for well over a 100 years 

It's permanent home is The Red Lion Bowling Green, War Memorial Gardens Car Park,  Westhoughton, BL5 3AS

Games take place every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday all year round, with play commencing each day @ 12-30 pm

Each day there are two 31 up matches between players from the list of registered bowlers known as a "Panel of Players" so now you see where the name comes from

Spectators are always welcome and will enjoy some excellent bowling in what are usually very competitive matches and if you wish, you can have a wager on the outcome, even make both players winners if you are adept at betting or if you're not, end up with 2 losers

There is plenty of FREE parking, ample seating around the green and under shelter if required and you can also get hot and cold drinks

Incidentally, we now have TWO viewing lounges with heating available for the less hardy spectators

Daily entrance costs £2.00 for members and a temporary membership is available at £2.50 each day for those not wishing to become FULL members
